Heavy Rainfall, High Winds, Thunder and Lightning were in the distance at 18:00. Jim's phone indicated that the inclement weather would reach us at about 19:00, inconveniently just a little before we'd be finished, and last until about 19:30, when it would be too late to do the time trial. Hence the time trial was cancelled and some of us went out to dinner earlier than usual. Oh well, at least Celia ended up with more time to decorate her bike for tomorrow's "Hell Climb"! The "Hell Climb", which is organized by Tall Tree Cycles, goes from the bottom of Fortune Lane up to Champlain Lookout. It's a 6.7 km time trial, but riders are encouraged to wear costumes and to ride slow bikes. This should be fun - for a pretty long time for those of us on heavily loaded cargo bikes!
